Oh Dear Oh Dear.......Argus is my all time favourite album, but on this recording Andy Powell butchers it. Powell's vocals can be reasonable, even if they don't sound like classic Wishbone Ash, but he was having an off-day here. It says much that the best track on the CD is Real Guitars Have Wings, and yes, you've guessed it, it's an instrumental. Musically the performance is excellent, but my advice is, avoid this album, listen to the original Argus instead, or if you want a decent live rendition of the whole album, look no further than the Life Begins live DVD or CD recorded by Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash.
