SPIRITS OF THE DEADSpirits of the DeadCrossover Prog |
From Progarchives.com, the ultimate progressive rock music website

The Who and The Doors were the first bands I started thinking about when listening to this venture, but after the opening track more of the former than the latter. With psychedelic tinges added in that is, and at times with some indie rock flavours REM style thrown in for good measure as well as more pastoral sounding folk-tinged elements.
For the final tune some moments more similar to Black Sabbath are added in as well, and overall we're actually dealing with a pretty diversified effort here in terms of stylistic expressions. But with a solid and distinct foundation in vintage sounding sonic tapestries.
One to check out if you miss the music of the late 60's and early 70's, in particular if psychedelic tinged as well as harder sounding material is of interest.
