3 stars A bit of a difficult review to write, this one.

Sons Of Seasons is a band which consists of seasoned veterans in the prog/power/heavy metal scene. See interview for more info on them. And there is no doubts the band knows their trade. This is symphonic power/prog metal with a lot of drama and power. In short; this is a good handmade product. You get guitars, vocals, keyboards, drums and bass filled in as good textures along the tracks on this album.

The problem with this album is that this is too workman like. You build a brickwall which keeps the cold weather outside and the heat inside. The wall does not have any good decorations. It just keeps the cold outside and the warmth inside. That's it. And the same can be said about this album. The spices here are some female vocals, some deathcore vocals in addition to the usual power metal vocals and some creative textures from the keyboards and/or samples. The rest of the album is top notch workmanship. But not the most exciting music I have heard. Not exciting to keep up my interest. But this album is good and will please any progressive metal fan here. Check out this album and band if prog metal is your thing.
