I GRANDI SUCCESSI: NEW TROLLS

It is normally that a compilation that is part of a series of compilation as this is, it is difficult to seek Prog if the band is called New Trolls because their evergreen are not in Prog field. But sure if you seek the good music played with extreme passion New Trolls is that band.

In this compilation the songs are Rock, Post Beat (and three are POP) but all with great guitar (aggressive) by Nico Di Palo (except fot 3 POP songs), good vocal parts (not always with good lyrics). In some case the songs remaind to Deep purple or Uriah Heep or Atomic Rooster but always with an Italian touch of melody, aggressiveness, magic and feeling.

But I think that this compilation is good also for a Progster, not only for the presence of I° and II° tempo of 'Concerto Grosso n° 1' but also becvause the songs are extremely technique with great and intricate (extreme technical) parts and with Proggy arrangements.

Not a masterpiece, hence, but a good compilation... Obviously.
