NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS (ICON)

Despite of the afwul sound,this LIVE recording is one of the most wonderful displays of the genius of this 2 musical icons of music!Definitelly this 2 guys have something magic together ,an alchemy that works perfectly well and we feel also the mutual respect that is making possible such an encounter !Of course,it;'s a shame that the LIVE recording has such a bad quality,it's almost unthinkable,unbelieveble to see that this live documant didn't had the technical quality and performance to get a proper and correct recording!Anyway,what remains is the superbe musicianship shown,the magic of the songs and the timeless spirit of ASIA's music!Because,with the time this music becomes more and more valuable,that;'s for sure! There are monumental and unforgateble songs thet made history like ONLY TIME WILL TELL, VOICE OF AMERICA,DON'T CRY ..and many,many other musical pearls thet will never die! ASIA's muaic is quintessential for prog rock music,it's typically British and worldclass made!!! DOWNES-WETTON made also an accoustic DVD and I am surprised not to see it on the DVD section...it's already quite a long time since it has been released...in 2005!On that album ,the two musicians show the fact that brilliant songs don't need more then one piano,a guitar and a cello to express themselves !Good songs are easy to be performed on simple instruments,not to get sophisticated arrangements and pretentious musical clothes!This LIVE album has many electric parts,good drums ,but WETTON is magical on acoustic guitar and his voice is heavenly!Downes plays masterful too,it's mesmerising!!! Thank you guys for this LIVE document and I a sure they will do it together again after the ASIA reunion!!!5 STARS for the quality of the superbe music-2 STARS for the quality of the recording ,so an 3,5 average note for this album!!
