4 stars Debut solo album of one of the most important guitar players from The Netherlands and,of course,of EUROPE!I owe the remastered edition of this amazing album-the digipack limited edition with the Joey Tafolla bonus track cover song! What can be sayed about this album?First of all-this new remastered edition sounds a lot better then the original one-even if here we have a computer drum machine! In fact-all instruments are played by Coenen, but that's fine, when we hear the unbelieveble guitar work that this man is offering on this album! In fact- GUITARTALK was a collection of demo tracks, put on cd by MARCEL ,because there are some sensational compositions indeed! The approach with JOHN PETRUCCI is obvious,but-definitelly-our man is simply breathtaking!Feeling, emotion, fusion, power ,massive guitar riffs-the album is so rich and dense in it's expression-WOW!Absolutelly stunning guitar solos-and a great sound overall-for the guitar-of course-because the sound of the other instruments is quite poor!Who cares-because GUITARTALK is fabulous from the first to the last note!Of course,GUITARTALK is an album for musicians especially-and guitar lovers especially -but also,it's for good music lovers,it's loaded with high quality compositions !4 stars for an amazing album-not at all boring or too demonstrative-but solid and full of great compositions!
