2 stars This single was released as announcement for LP "Izlog jeftinih slatkisa". 1980 was the year of New Wave boom in ex Yugoslavia and BULDOZER were smart to attract wider audience, not only prog fans of their Zappa-esque psycho-satire.

"Zene i muskarci" (Women and Men) is a quasi-reggae song, very catchy with danceable rhythm and no wonder that it was a huge hit across Yugoslavia.

"Slovinjak punk" (Slovene Punk) is ... well a Slovene punk! A speedy hilarious punk anthem, perfect for "pogo" dancing. Still, the dominant instrument here is - organ! There is a bridge in the middle of the song, going into 2/3 time and making mockery of Tyrol/Slovene/Alpine folk dance, with sounds of drunken Slovene highlanders in a mountainous pub. Sung in Slovene language, which was an oddity even for a Slovenian- based band like BULDOZER, because due to the market demand they mostly sung in Serbo- Croatian (or Croato-Serbian), the language understood by majority of the then Yugoslav population.

Given the scope of this archives, this single is probably of interest for collectors only.
