2 stars Hey, you by Mono isn't the best star for this enormous band. This ep has a good sound, but more of the songs are like a loooong post rock jam. I don't hate jams, i don't hate post rock also but Mono sometimes lose their way and it's all repetition. You can certainly see the potencial of the band, the power but for a start on listening Mono it could be a little dissapointing. There's no comparison between the Hey, You Mono and any other record of the band, just No Comparison! Ok, that was the bad part.

Yes, there is a good part. This EP is a slow grower or at least for the fans of the band. 3 of the 4 songs are above the average and i specially recommend Finlandia and L'America. Both songs are quiet but each one with it's own climax, and that's what i like about Mono: more of the times their records are a slow grower.

Oh and i forgot, the last 5 minutes of Black Woods, simply annoying. But still a 2 star.

3 stars Are you a collector? Grab this. You're not? Don't care then. It's not like 'avoid it!', it's just not as superb as any of MONO studio albums (especially the magnificient 'You Are There'). 2 tracks to be featured on debut, 2 tracks to be featured on 2007' 'Gone' compilation, so don't bother much. Besides sound quality (which is important for any Post-Rock band) isn't that good.
