4 stars Dave Cousins was nearly 60 when this gig was filmed, and Lambert and Willoughby were not so far behind, yet all the three were so vital. Just listen and Look at Cousin's performance of "Simple Visions", so lively, so cheerful - no surprise that the audience were so excited. The three veterans mingled in the crowd for a pint and a chat, and I don't feel other respected musicians will do the same nowadays.

Another tremendous moment in that DVD is the emotional a moving interpretation to Sandy Denny's "Who Knows Where the time goes". I've listen to Sandy handful of performances and to Judy Collins Version, and believe it or not, this one is the most astonishing one. Only three guitars but full of layers, chord changes, and opposite solo's taken by Lambert and Willoughby - a true gem. The same words can be said on one of the touching songs Cousins ever wrote: "You and I - When we were young" from "Ghosts" Album. Such a delighted Harmony from both Daves, you don't even remember that it once had an electric version.

The DVD starts with a filmed story of the early days of the Strawbs in West London. The days of the Ele pie Island and the White bear folk club, and the three speaking about their musical inspirations and their first gigs.

It is an inspired DVD and a must for all the Strawbs lovers
