5 stars The " Almagest" album is something new and refreshing, superb and revolutionary performance by a unknown Portuguese band called Egyptian Kings. There is a little information about who they are in Portugal. They are a little bit like GY!BE they dont made interviews, and in my view this band shows a tremendous altruism by offering for free their work, asking nothing for trade. You can download it in their myspace/official site. In this album they push progressive space rock to undiscovery borders and create music much more deep than sounds, than melodies and dabbles in the science of molecular/universe music. I really love the album, itīs like a complex sound sculpture! And all the possibilities of sound are explored, especially sounds that can be coaxed out of the instruments. The soundscape brought together here, forms a unique, far-out conceptual universe. It is energetic and magnificent!

All in all, i think "Almagest" it is totally unique and defies any attempt to categorize. There simply isn't another album like it. It marked a change in music. Like the "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" marked in the 1967.

Rating - 5 * Absolutely masterpiece!
