4 stars First album heard from Threshold, and I'd have to say it's not at all a disapointment. Threshold is a very talented band and they have some really good songs on this album to even start out with. I really enjoyed the album. Some major songs are Avalon, Critical Mass, Fragmentation, Phenomenom, Round and Round and pretty much the rest of the songs are good. The vocals are good with some really powerful riffs and melodies. If you want some powerful progressive Metal I'd suggest this album a lot, catchy lyrics and a very harmonious with the songs. Cricital mass is as I sall say a great album to listen to. This group has talent and has definatly carried it far through their carrer. 4/5 for Threshold, it's a good CD, not perfect, but enjoyable all the same!
