It took me so long to get into this album. At first I liked it - and almost cried at how good 'Dance of the Leaves' was - very reminiscent of Mendelssohn's Lieder ohne Worte, but arranged for 12-string and mellotron. Now I adore it, almost every second of it. It is a misty, sunset album of half-lights and nostalgia. I admire the concision of the pieces too - which manage to be more than just mood music or soundtracks for imaginary TV series. A minimalist masterpiece.
