3 stars Do not understand why this album is so banned.

Ok, itīs not very progressive. Ok, itīs sometimes boring. Ok, it sounds like restaurant- music.

And it doesnīt shows very ingenious art...

But if you need some background- music "Love Beach" is perfect. If beeing serious, half of the songs are really nice! Thatīs what I think...

"All I want is you" is very nice - but the synth are horrible... Love Beach is instrumentaly not so primitive like "Taste for my love". "The Gambler" is country- like and I find it pretty cool (like "Benny the Bouncer") "For you" is really boring... "Canario" have Latin-influences (or something else) and calms down.

"Memories of an officer and gentleman" is - on the one hand- a very interesting interpretation and - on the other hand- maybe the most boring song by ELP. I think the good and the bad moments of this song are mixed in those 20 minutes. You maybe canīt stand it...

Itīs maybe non-essential but it isnīt so horrible like the albums of some OTHER bands at this time were (I think of Gentle Giant and King Crimson). Interesting music, indeed.
