3 stars Can this really be described as a gong album ? Pierre Moerlen's claim to the name was always disputable. He was after all only the last in a very long line of drummers who had played on gong LP during their 60/70's hay day. Putting that aside this is a pretty good record and features some very intelligent jazz rock. Sadly Pierre recently died but the late "Gong" Lps will always bear testament to what a great drummer he really was. I like this record and it even gets played now and then. If you are into the jazz lineup of late gong this is for you. If you are on the other hand looking for silly pretentious lyrics alla David Allen you will be bitterly disappointed.
