RED

For me this was the best incarnation of King Crimson and this is their best album. It is much heavier than the albums preceding but this is combined with several very well worked quieter passages. One of the things that I really like about this album, as opposed to a lot of their other stuff, is that it has dated really well. In my opinion a lot of their other stuff sounds a bit dated but this is not one of them. I don't think there is a weak track on here and I would recommend that anyone wanting to get into King Crimson buy this album over In the Court of the Crimson King.
