RED

Red- Well King Crimson is my favourite band of all time and this album is easily one of their best. The title track which introduces the album is a high energy song that grabs you by the balls and keeps them their until you reach Providence where you can finaly take a breath. One More Red Nightmare is the best song on this album and features a repetitive but cool guitar line which leads into a nice chorus then a wicked mid section. There is some beautiful wood wind instrumentation. Sometimes music that is overly complex loses some of its emotion like I find with Yes sometimes. This album however retains its feel even with the complexity of some of the tracks. But I do have to admit with this album that it seems to be missing something. ITCOTCK and LTIA all made me feel something induced by the music and this one just seemed to fall short. However this album is still a masterpiece of the genre. If I were to introduce someone to this band, which is a difficult task as it is, I would show them In the Court of the Crimson King instead.
