5 stars For sure the best PG solo album!!! Gabriel 4 was my fave until this one easily knocked it off that perch. The opening track "Darkness" is an incredible psychoanalysis of himself - better than "Digging in the Dirt". "Growing Up" - great cross-over from a guy in his 50's! Newer artists today couldn't make as good a song. "Sky Blue" - just a beautiful song - wonderful backing vox from the Blind Boys of Alabama. "I Grieve" - the saddest song he's ever written. "The Barry Williams Show" - just great! A wholly cynical look at TV - it could have been written by Roger Waters. "More Than This" - has a very pop feel to it. "Signal to Noise" - HUGE. Best song on the album. I am amazed that after all these years, PG is stillwriting such incredible and relevant music. He is one of the giants of Prog Rock.
