SYMPHONY X

Right, now don't me wqrong. It's a good enough album if you want something happy to listen to. And I love al the songs - they are all musically sound and very well written, the album is well pieced, there are some good guitar solos and the drummer has great talent and is able to prove it at some points HOWEVER... one thing I feel that this album lacks is a powerful vocalist. Yes Mr Tyler can sing (and if you're reading this, you have a good range too. ;) ) but I feel that the lack of power in the voice brings the songs down. In facty, at some points it sounds more like pop music. Now I hate writing reviews based on a 'Good' opinion but when I listened I thought "Good, but not great" and that's exactly how I feel it should be reviewed. But other than the vocals, the album is sound! :D
