5 stars This is an excellent album, the best of GG in my opinion.. The skill of these guys in can be seen all through the album.. the lyrics on each song are quite good.. even though the concept is kinda hard to get if you don't pay very close attention to the lyrics.. musically this album has very intense moments, being THE BOYS IN THE BAND my favorite instrumental section in the whole album...(its an instrumental song, btw)... As in most GG records, they use a wide variety of instruments, and all of them are played with remarkable skill considering that they are also even good when it comes to singing... IMO this is the band with the most complete musicians ever! (this doesn't mean i think they're the best)... My favorite tracks on the album are the ADVENT OF PANURGE (just hearing the opening vocals put me on a good mood), THE BOYS IN THE BAND, RACONTEUR TROUBADOUR (good musicalization and "tricky" stuff all over the song).. the great KNOTS (with one of the most amazing vocal arrangements ever!) and RIVER (which has a main riff that I love...)

I think this is a must for any prog collection... this is a complete album.. it has great musicianship, good lyrics, a good concept, great production, and over all it takes music to a new level exploring an intricate of writing and vocal arrangements... I can't give this great album less than 5 stars.. :D
