4 stars The Pink Floyd as a brief 5-member band was unique as they were in transition and the album reflects this. Each song was written by a different member of the group (except for Nick Mason), a taste to come for what they accomplished on the studio side of Ummagumma two years later. Each track unique to the others. They were still searching for the now famous Pink Floyd sound at this point. Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun most resembles what we think of The Pink Floyd today.
