3 stars This album has good points and bad points. I must admit that I only bought it to complete my Dream Theater collection, but was sort of pleasantly surprised, and sort of not. I'll explain. The songs 'Hell's Kitchen', 'Lines in the Sand', and 'Trial of Tears' alone are worth buying this album, they are that good in my opinion. However the rest of the album was pretty average in my opinion. 'New Millenium' and 'Hollow Years' are alright, but the rest of the songs really feel like the band were just trying to fill in time. The album goes for nearly 80 minutes, they probably could have got rid of 'You Not Me', 'Burning My Soul', and 'Just let me Breathe', and they would have had an hours worth of great material but anyway... The standout on this album is definately John Petrucci's soloing, especially on 'Hell's Kitchen' and 'Lines in the Sand'. Definately worth having eventually, but if you are looking to get into Dream Theater, then I would recommend starting with 'Images and Words' or 'Scenes from a Memory'.
