2 stars Pink Floyd fans only. I wouldn't really recommend this unless you love the Floyd and want to have all the albums. It starts out rather eerily with Let There Be More Light, Remember A Day and the scary Set The Controls for the Heart of the Sun. Then in comes Corporal Clegg, which is very obviously Roger trying to duplicate Syd's success with strange songs. The title track is another druggie anthem, See-Saw is a nice, peaceful, layed back Rick Wright track. Jugband Blues, Syd's last stand as a member of the group, is a nice poppy way for him to leave even though many people wish he didn't. The band didn't do exceptionally well, it was the late 60's and their "sound" was just forming. It's not really a great album, but it's progress, and it influenced their sound for the future. Not really worth the money you spend on a CD when for the same money you could get Obscured By Clouds. If you like Atom Heart Mother, you'll probably like this.
