TRESPASS

An early Genesis album without flaws, unlike any of its successors. Of course the band didn't master the art at that time and there's a certain mood of insecurity about this album, but as a whole it's a charming record. Charming, that's the word. Charming and nice. Of course there would be better songs on the next albums, but worse songs also. Playing became better later as well. However, all that doesn't spoil this album for me at all. It's nice to have a Peter Gabriel-era Genesis album without his ego playing a lead role. PG plays a nice flute now and then, and I prefer him doing that rather than his silly voices.
