2 stars Anything was an improvement after Open Your Eyes, so this album got a little more kudos within Yes fandom than it deserved.

The first half of "Homeworld" is still some of the best music Yes have done post-Drama, although it is let down by a lacklustre ending that wastes the momentum of the opening to dribble out into nothingness. The disc closer "Nine Voices" is a "Your Move" for the 90's, and by rights should have been a single to draw back lapsed fans. Instead the releases were the stiff faux-African ungroove of "Lightning Strikes" and treacly and saccharaine ballad "If Only You Knew".

The rest of the disc is pretty much workmanlike and unremarkable. Of interest only to diehard fans, and even to them there are only echoes of greatness to be heard here.
