3 stars A Dave Brock led space freakout that makes one think that Hawkwind were starting to go in the more electronic/ambient direction albeit with a somewhat harder edge.

It contains an unusual number of tracks for a Hawkwind album which sort of makes it interesting and nothing drags out for too long. Frequent sci fi references are made regarding the future destiny etc. in the form of short monologues and full songs but can get a little far out at times, but hey c`mon THIS IS HAWKWIND. Some neat effects can be heard throughout the album to support these musings including a news recording of the assasination of JFK! Synthesisers and keyboards dominate the album with not as much guitar that you would expect from Hawkwind. It`s production suprised me when it came out, very well engineered for a Hawkwind recording. Everything comes in loud and clear.

The CD comes with a neat little booklet which also features some cool art work. A definite must for any comprehensive Hawkwind collection. One of the stronger and more ambitious Hawkwind albums of the 1980`s with Captain Brock in full command.
