4 stars This won't be as long as my review of "Piper at the Gates of Dawn"

Due to the decline of Syd Barret, Roger Waters took control of this album and is the first time David Gilmour is with the band. There can be, however, no better replacement

Let There Be More Light (5/5): This song is the coolest one on the album and has thier second-hardest bass riffs (after "Have a Cigar"). My personel favorite from this set of songs. The vocals are amazing too

Remember a Day (4/5): One of Rick Wirght's best sole credits. The lyrics are though provoking and the keyboarda are pretty cool

Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun (5/5): What failed conceptually in "Chapter 24" shines hear. The haunting riffs and drums and the mellow vocals make this one of the best early PF songs. The concert staple before "Echoes" took the title

Corporal Clegg (4/5): Have to love a kazoo solo

A Saucerful of Secrets (5/5): An excellent instrumental with some pretty cool drumming and vocals at the end, although I prefer the live versions where Gilmour did the vocals

See-Saw (2/5): The album's weakest song. Just not very good, comming from Rick Wright

Jugband Blues (3/5): The song famous for it being the last time Syd Barret would make a studio credit with PF under his name. While many consider it a great song, I find it disjointed and unorganized. Which perhaps make it more tragic than anything else. The effects drugs took on Syd's career are blatantly evident here

The album proves that Pink Floyd could go on without there founder and paved the way for Roger Waters to take the controls
