5 stars The first album by this amazing outfit an already the standard is immensly high. All tracks written by the drummer Daniel Denis, with the exception of two from guitarist Roger Trigaux. The atmosphere throughout is one of forboding. Rogers tracks Monseur Petiot (named after a murderous Parisien Doctor who went to the guillotine in 1946 having admitting 63 killings) and Malaise with it's cyclical harpsichord motif are actually this albums high point. Makes for compelling listening.
