4 stars This album obviously shows David's wonderful perception of melody, it's very similar to the rest of his solo work in the way that he tries hard to make a well rounded album and a decent set of individual songs.

The thing with this album is that i tend to feel the lyrics might be a bit dodgey. Alot of the time he's talking about his love life and such, walking by the lake feeding swans?!?!! To be honest i don't really care too much to hear about how wonderful his new love might be, yes, i'm happy for him if that is a relationship which is truely wonderful but it really doesn't seem to add to the emotion of the music atall.

There's alot of expressive and interesting guitar work which shows David's ability to really hone his style, again there's no attempt to sound fast or complex, which doesn't exactly show a massive amount of diversity in his playing.

There's the old trademark Gilmour rhythms, they work very well with his style... they seem to give me a sort of warm feeling which only he can provide. His work on other instruments is chilled out, again he doesn't really try to excel himself, there's not as as much feeling in the use of other instruments compared to his signing and guitar playing.

I think the more people who buy this album the better, mainly due to the fact that David is such a charitable character. I would like to think that a large amount of the money that he'll make off this album will go to good causes. He's given alot of money to charities before... in my eyes this is a very important thing for a succesful musician (or any "well-off" person) to do. The more people who become priviledge allows a connection to the rest of the world, to experience the vast amount of wonderful creations, such as Pink Floyd's music.

Hope i haven't gone off the point too much, All in all i think this a very nice album, it's relaxing and yet you can listen intentively and hear alot of complementary soundscapes.
