4 stars This is the first neo prog album that i discovered in a little store in Montreal that sells exclusively progressive rock albums from around the globe. I tell the guy what kind of prog i like (Rush, Yes,Genesis) and he tells me to have a little listen to Spock's Beard???? What is this????........ I did what he said and after two minutes, i have buyed two of their albums! I loved their sound instantly.Neal's voice is so beautiful and his melodies are so catchy! it's a bit poppy but ..... it is so good!!! "The good don't last" is one of the best prog song i have ever heard. "June" is so beautiful! The musicianship of Neal and the boys is simply perfect.Ryo's keyboards reminds me of all the greatest keyboards solos of the 70's. Nick is one of the best drummers of the decade. Since then, i have buyed every Spock's Beard albums, but for me "the kindness of strangers" will always be there best one maybe because it's the first one i bought? i don't know...
