DISOBEY

I actually really like this album. Although the album is generally very upbeat, it resonates of melancholy and lost opportunities to me. It's just the feeling I get from it! It's a mixed bag of music, comprised of some truly excellent tracks such as the opening title track 'Disobey' and 'Jekyll'. The album really gets going on a high note. The musicianship is excellent and the production slick. There are some slightly weaker tracks dotted here and there. 'Could have been Yesterday' is not a favourite of mine, but there is some real creativity at work here and a great deal of feeling. I don't understand how these guys have not been producing great music over the last couple of decades. It is our loss that they haven't, but I am very glad they are here now. Easily four stars and definitely on my list of 'instant purchase' bands. Excellent stuff!
