infandous
2 stars Well, at the time of its release, I had no idea who any of the people in the band were. I was only 13 then, so it's no surprise. I had little real interest in music, and tended to like certain song off the radio without really "loving" any particular band or style. So, in that light, I like the hits from this album well enough. In retrospect though, this album was a sign that prog was dead, at least for the moment. I give them credit for coming up with something relevant and popular for the times, but they did all come from bands that had had a fair amount of sucess during progs heyday (well, not Downes, but he had had pop success already in the 80's). To my tastes now, this album is horrendous and has not aged well at all. But because it brings back memories of a happy youth, I will be generous and give it two stars (though on strictly musical terms, I would give it only one....or possible 1/2 star).
