1 stars I've tried for years to be open minded about this disc. Every once in a while, I'll think it can't be as bad as I remember and I'll give it a listen only to find out that it really is that bad. I love almost all of the Gentle Giant discs and I find some gems even on discs like "The Missing Piece" and "Civilian", but I just can't find anything worth listening to from this one. I've tried hard to like it, but I feel like I should warn anyone who's thinking about spending any money on this one to save your green for another disc.

In fact, rather than buying "Giant for a Day", check out the band Trespass from Isreal. Their album "In a Haze of Time" is a much better bet. Also anything from Echolyn or "A Breath of October" from Cobweb Strange would be a better investment than "Giant for a Day."
