5 stars For me, Kate Bush made kind of a fortunate (furthermore, very fortunate album). In the world of music, starting your adventure in the good way is always something profitable, and this is a good example (unfortunately, latter efforts would show us some ups and downs)

This album provides the listener with a truly sweet musical experience, beginning with Kate's incredibly dreamy, flute-sounding and sweet voice, quite an original and trademarlk feature that many following vocalists tried to imitate, with little success. As well, the piano is another star here, used in the appropiate way, when it is necessary, and not filling the record with piano madness.

If we try to classify this record into an specific genre or style, is not something easy, since it contains a wide variety of musical elements. We can listen to some symphonic elements, sometimes a bit (but only a bit) of psychedelia and other simple and straightfoward pop tendencies, but coped in a concerned and appropiate way.

To mention some worthy songs, "Moving" is a good intro, also short, like it should be in most of the cases, "The Saxophone Song" is precisely that, THE Saxophone song, a simply delicious piece. We have some ballads, like "The Man with the child in his eyes", in which Kate's voice shows to be quite appropiate. Then classics like "Wuthering Heights" (one of the most popular Kate Bush songs, when she shows how talented she is in singing) or "James and the Cold Gun".

Then, for those who want to introduce themselves to Kate Bush music, this record is probably a quite recommended option, since it is one her best ones. It is essential.
