CONCERTO

Concerto is a live release from the Manifesto tour, so naturally it concentrates heavily on the songs from Manifesto. This is too bad, because Manifesto was the worst album they've made. The second disc, which has only older songs is a lot more interesting. Bryan Ferry gives a strong vocal performance on most of the tracks and the band sounds more rocking, less polished than on studio albums. The live performances of earlier songs are quite good, but the Manifesto songs still sound boring. If you really liked Manifesto, you'll probably like Concerto too and you can raise the rating to 4 stars. For me 3 stars is as high as I can go.
