5 stars as this was probably the veru first yes album i ever heard, and it was probably the first album i ever heard that was progressive. its sheer brilliance has forever been burned into my then impressionable brain. Whilst others liten to songs about the same subject over and over again, namelyy, you left oh no, you came back yay, oh you left again oh and so on, i listen to the wonderful yes album, the ladder. in fact, this album was introduced to me in an unusual way. Through the game homeworld, for which the song homeworld was written. On the way home i said to my dad, tthere was this awsome song called homeworld. And my dad said, oh you mean, yes, and the usual questioning of the band name took place. my dad gave me the ladder abd i was hooked like a slippery fish.

this album, was probably the best and most intresting of all the albums i ever heard, plus homeworld was the icing on the already massive cake. however, the other songs were not as impressive as homeworld, but of course they were still awsome. i would reccomend this album to any budding yes fan, and anyone in the world with more than to brain cells, enthralling
