LOS AWAKATES DE NEPANTLA

Banda Elastica is an elegant band from Mexico. In my opinion music has no styles but in somebody's opinion BE's style may be RIO-ish jazzrockfusion with little latin touches. Los Awakates De Nepantla is BE's third effort and dedicated to memory of Frank Zappa who unfortunately passed away on December 1993. The spectrum of sounds of BE containes in addition to guitar-bass-keys-drums yet saxes, flutes, trombones, percussion and the most important of course - marimbas! All those instruments give to BE's music valuable colourfulness. My personal faves are longer themes because one- minute-tracks may be a bit short to familiarize with that so quickly... All in all - joyful, humourous and fiery music with Zappa-relationship!!
