DIFFERENT WAYS

This is standart AOR popish album. Typical music to sound in the background. It does not require any particular concentration and generally is failing to catch one's attention. It reminds me of Asia and worst solo efforts by John Wetton. Melodies varie from simple to downright primitive, vocal lines leave the impression of have been heard hundred times before. I can't say it is total rubbish just because musicianship is still good, and it can probably make a pleasant relaxing listening occasionally, but not more that this. In terms of progressive music this album IMO does not even deserve two stars, but in terms of AOR/pop-rock it can probably be considered as solid work mainly due to skilled musicianship. So all in all "Different Ways" by Swedish band Xinema left me absolutely unimpressed, and with this sad feeling of wasted money.
