JOE'S GARAGE, ACTS I, II & III

So, I'll restate what I said about Act I before. It's good. 4 stars. The humour is nice, the music is great and doesn't get boring (save for "Lucille Has My Mind Messed Up") and is full of short, nice compositions. So why don't I like this? Well the other two acts are beyond horrible in many ways.

So yes, we have the satisfying Act I. Raunchy humour, nice guitar licks, an entertaining concept, smooth and cohesive songwriting, and it's overall a wonderful listen if you're in the mood for less serious music. Definitely recommended for anyone.

But Act's II and III are different. What went wrong you may wonder? Well the entertainment leaves entirely. The raunchiness of the humour is multiplied to the point of being seen as "Hey I know! Let's just throw away everything we made before and turn this into an attempt to be as meaninglessly disgusting as possible!". If you ever wanted to listen to a song about a man having, erm, "relations" with a robot, then do I have the album for you! Really, everything from "Lucille Has My Mind Messed Up" and onward, besides an okay "Dong Work for Yuda" and a really nice "Watermelon in Easter Hay", is unlistenable tripe. A mixture of ruining the humour for random grossness and the songs going on way longer than they should. Really no reason for it at all.

So my advice? Stay away from this, and just buy Act I. Act I is 4 star material, whereas Acts II and III are 1 lowly star. I'll round it down to 2 stars since I personally don't recommend it since half of it is filth.
