3 stars The secon non Daevid Allen album.

Gong post Daevid Allen means fusion in the Canterbury vein. Gilgamesh is a good reference for me. And so is most things Alan Gowen put his hands on. He is not involved here though.

The music here is cleverly put together fusion with more jazz influences than rock. The rhythm sections is working overdrive with some nifty details. Besides of the rhythm section, I am not that overawed with the music here. The melodies are very good, but not great. This album does not capture me as much as Shamal did, I am afraid. But this is still a very good attempt and Holdsworth's guitar solos is as always a joy to behold.
