4 stars Galahad are an unusual member of the 1980's Neo-prog cohort.....they are, I think, more than the marillion clones they have often been labelled as. The album preceding this one (Following Ghosts) was a deliberate attempt to counter the charge of Neo-prog by the numbers marilli-clone. That album really was trying too hard! This time round the band have reigned in the perceived need to be eclectic and inventive just enough to make a far more coherent musical statement. This is still a record of diverse elements .... but one where those elements work in harmony. Itis beautifully recorded and produced and wrapped in a gorgeous cover. THISis Galahad's finest statement. The album that follows does what all neo-prog bands seem to be doing now - going heavier in a desperate attempt for wider acceptance. Listen to this one ... here they hit the spot.
