Made in japan,achieve's what most live albums fail to do,and thats turning studio tracks into live adrenalin charged music and more,the production on this album is absolutley brilliant,and thats not even taking into the fact thats its from 1972,its incrediable mainly due to the great venue's in japan when it was recorded.

Deep Purple at the time of made in japan were considered the loudest band in the world,and live were just about untouchable,considering they were able to turn 4 minute studio tracks into 20 min sonic progressive metal,shows the power of Deep purple. All the tracks on Made in Japan are hugely more powerful than their studio versions,and all are considerably longer,which places this album firmly into the category of progressive rock.

Made in Japan,is in a class of it's own,comparing it to other live albums of hard rock or progressive rock is a waste of time,if live albums are about power,performance,and production,then Made in Japan is it.It's the greatest live album in the histiory of rock.
