2 stars If you like over simplified compositions then this album is for you. Take for instance the first track "You Shouldn't Do That" 15 minutes of the same two chords and rythym track over and over again. Of coarse they throw on plenty of sound effects with riffs and noodling throughout. This seems to be typical for Hawkwind. Most of their compositions seem to be elementry in this way. Actually the repeditiveness is very "unprogressive", I guess their "psychedelic" aspect gets them on this site. However, I should mention "Seven By Seven" and "Silver Machine" actually venture out and use more then two chords. I can't quite see why this album of repetitous music gets rated as good as it does, perhaps it sounds good when your stoned.
