4 stars This concert DVD was release in 2001 but recorded the 2nd of December 1998 at the Cambridge Corn Exchange in Cambridge, England, That was the Homogenic Tour. Björk touring band at this time was part of the concept behind Homogenic, electronic beat mix with strings, violin, viola & cello. So, you have Mark Bell doing his electronic beats and a string octet, the Icelandic String Octet, playing violin, viola & cello.

The show start with a intrumental piece played by the octet and after that, you ear the beats of Hunter starting, what a beautiful contrast, it work very well and makes Hunter sound powerfull and very intense. The show include songs from her 3 album to date, Debut, Post & Homogenic, witch is the most represented here. Following Hunter, you got Come To Me, from the album Debut, and my all time favorite song from Björk, All Neon Like, witch is by far the best part of the show, Björk is so into it and the strings arrengements are so majestic, that I usually replay the song again. Isobel, Immature, Bachelorette and Jóga, are other personal favorite of mine on this DVD. The fact that you only have Mark Bell doing the loud stuff and also, beside him, Björk and the string octet there is no other musician, it makes the concert more intimate, simpler, so there is less camera mouvement and more emphasis on Björk, witch is never a bad thing ;) There is nothing bad I can say about this DVD except that it's in Stereo only, no Surround sound, so the show, because of it's intimacy, does suffer a little from that, and they also cut 4 songs from the concert, Violently Happy, Venus as a Boy, 5 Years and I Go Humble. I recommend you start with Royal Opera House or Voltaic, they are more complete and sound better, but if your a fan like me, it's a must have.
