Mind Gallery is one of the unfairly forgotten progressive rock bands from the '90's in Canada.
Formed in late 1989 rleasing so far 3 studio albums, don't realy know if the are still active
because their last album was released in 2000. What we have here is a very well composed
progressive rock, very intristing that most of the time goes in unexpected teritories. Jazz fusion
but combined with a good doze of eclectic arrangements make from this album , their second
effort named very well Guilty until prover rich from 1995 a pleasure to listen. Quirky, complex,
even dark in places, instrumntal entirely with funy cover art , this release is a solid one in every
way. With all that , only two rates and no review so far shows that Mind Gallery is a totaly
unknown band in prog circles, and is a damn shame, because their music is one of the most
intristing you will ever hear in this field, belive me. With long pieces, short ones, great and very
catchy arrangements, keybords that goes in total diffrent direction then the rest of the
instruments, not only suporting instrument, shows that Mind Gallery was an inteligent band ,
that for some resons never made it. Strange, Pieces like Bushing Around the Beat, Stop and I'll
shoot provers that thing all the way, greatness in arrangements for sure. So, a recommended
band and album, for me 4 stars, their next one is even better and their most acomplished
album.
