COSMOGENESIS

Gru is an (at this time) unknown one man project from Poland. Cosmogenesis is the debut 34 minute instrumental album featuring a mixture of djent and fusion - very melodic. It reminds me a bit of Animals As Leaders, Chimp Spanner, or Scale The Summit (reference points) and is a very easy/catchy listen that had me hooked after about the third time through (all tracks are very good). At this time there is no physical copy of the album, but Piotrek Gruszka (Mr. Gru) has made the album available for free download through the following site: got-djent.com/release/cosmogenesis, or you can listen to the whole thing at grumusic.bandcamp.com. I hope more people check this album out - after all, it's free!
