With the arrival of Lyn Dobson (remember him , always mingling in with the Soft Machine ,
Crimson and Tippett crowd in the early 70's) as a member , the TEB will have a more stable
line-up (at least until the next record) and will have a fairly surprising effect on their music:
vocals. Although , this vocal dimension will take effect only in a minority of tracks most notably on the longer Water Into Wine on this album and the following one, as the goal and general sound of the music remains what one expects from the TEB: long improvs with a slight psych twist influenced by classical indian music but with an arab twist to it too. Another change is the electronic sample of guitars and violins sometimes noticeable and this is a bit bothersome. Actually I cannot help the feeling that this album and its follow-up Magic Music were didled with a bit too much in the studios! Not their best album!
