4 stars I know a lot of people hate this band, and i know perfectly Asia is not Yes, not EL&P, not King Crimson. Asia itīs a good band of pop-rock, symphonic pop or whatever this music could be named. But in this first album there are some songs really good, and some interesting musical arrangements, even when is difficult to find the same Steve Howe we all heard in Yes before. Is not other thing than a David Geffen Project, but is also true to say John Wetton gave some dignity to this first album. By the way, no one of the folllowing albums is such good as this one. "Heat of the Moment" is a pop-rock song in an AOR style for commercial broadcastings, but is a good song that sounded even better each time they played it alive. "Time Again" is really amazing and the introduction shows a little part of the spirit of the seventies. "Cutting it Fine" is an incredible melody and the Steve Howe touch is simple but effective. And we could say the same about the performaneces of Geoff Downes and Carl Palmer along the album.
