PRESTO

I have twelve albums by Rush. I am by no means a die-hard Rush fan, but I like rock music and particularly prog rock. So over the years I have collected a few. Presto was my first Rush album though, and it surprises me that it is so poorly rated on this site.

I can remember the day I bought it in 1989. It seemed really modern at the time. Most rock music in 89 was either thrash or big hair band so I remember thinking how mature this record sounded. I sought out Permanent Waves soon after and then Moving Pictures...

I revisit this album from time to time and it still sounds great to me. Nothing Rush has done since then comes close to it in my opinion.
