4 stars This kind of album is the perfect blend between art rock, prog rock and avant-garde. The sound is quite obvious, is PRIMUS, the nutty silly vocals and the very deep bass phrases, with distorted and dissonant guitars and the most edgy and well crafted drums in the bussines... now, this record is almost a miracles, yet the significant evolution of the guys involved, (for further references try hearing LAUNDRY). Th opening song, as ususal is an itroduction to the weird, however, the most remembered song is "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" beacuse of the silly "plastic-animated" kind video, a 3/4 song with a lot of groove. Bute the most importante song in here is " Del Davis Tree Farm" for its long soundscapes and great textures, as well as "On the Tweek Again". Primus is by far the most eclectic of the bands that arose in the early 90's, and with each record they assure that status. Strangelly, this is the last studio record with drummer Tim "herb" Alexander, before he pursue other musical interests. At present time the band has rejoined and issued the great DVD allucino-genetics. peace
