I remember when I first heard these guys had joined up -- members from all my favorite bands (except for Genesis)!! Prog supergroup!! Sure to resurrect the genre!! Exactly what I had been looking for since U.K. had gone kaput, right?

Eh. I was severely underwhelmed when it came out. In fact, I felt betrayed. But, time heals (almost) all wounds, and in retrospect it's not that bad, for what it is. The subsequent releases by GTR and 3 certainly make it look better in comparision. I still listen to it occasionally. Plus, it has significant nostalgic value -- "Only Time Will Tell" was the class song played at my high school graduation. Good, if limited, musicianship. Basically a waste of talent, could have done so much more. Like having Barry Bonds bunt.
